Combidex threading tool system

ACT are the UK distribution arm for the Combidex threading tool system covering an extensive range of both internal and external threading solutions.

Combidex threading tools from ACTThe latest technology multi layer coated grade FXA is a universal type, although originally developed very successfully for threading austenitic stainless steels and aerospace materials, due to its effective heat dissipation.

The inserts, which have been extensively tested, are designed for use on most materials at low to high cutting speeds, including difficult-to-machine stainless steel and aerospace materials.

Combidex threading tools from ACTGrades HXC/HXA are high speed steel coated grades used for example on ‘work hardening’ and sticky materials where a sharp edge is required or for small internal threads, where lower RPM is used.

Standard external threading tool holders range from 8mm square shank to 40mm, to cover a wide range of threading possibilities.

An additional external threading range of ‘V Style & Slim Throat’ tooling enables threading in confined areas or behind shoulder applications where standard tooling cannot perform.

Internal threading starts at a minimum bore of 6mm with economical 3 edged inserts.

Internal tool holders are available in carbide shank & with through coolant supply to produce repeatable good quality threads.
