Advanced Carbide Tooling was formed in 1984 as the exclusive UK distributor of Mircona AB, the Swedish manufacturer of Carbide Grooving and parting off tooling system.

Since these early days ACT has added other problem solving carbide tooling systems in order to satisfy the requirements of thousands of customers in the industries involved with military and commercial aerospace, defense industry, oil industry, medical industry & F1 motor racing.

ACT has built a reputation for providing solutions to a variety of tooling requirements in areas often regarded as special applications by the industry.

A large range of standard tooling that has the adaptability where required to modification for fast supply of ‘specials’ is available at our Hinckley headquarters - situated centrally in the country in Leicestershire. 

ACT can now offer solutions in many areas of tooling requirement such as, internal, external and face grooving, parting off, threading, chamfering, corner rounding, spotting and centering and engraving.

A wide range of tooling offers machine shop managers and production engineers both standard and specially manufactured tooling solutions.
